Nut Graf

A nut graf tells the reader why the story is important and what your about t read about. It's almost like a hook. You want to answer who, what, where, when, why, and how in a quick sufficient way. If your writing the same story in a feature style and news style, it would be more narrative in a news style. In the nut graf you don't want to to give away the ending of the story. You should also keep it short and simple but written well enough so people will actually read it. It provides a transit from the lead and explains the lead and its connection to the rest of the story.
